This blog post is brought to you by the letter "K" 😉
This blindfold that Lyza sleeps with is so cute
Last Sunday after church Kim made a German pancake
It was delicious. She served it with fresh strawberries and blueberries
Lyza has a stake activity days activity that has a "follow the yellow brick road" theme. To prepare Lyza we watched The Wizard of Oz. The kids thought it was great
When I talk to my parents on Sunday afternoon this is often what I have to compete with
Last Sunday afternoon was so beautiful. We spent some time in the backyard practicing hitting the baseball
We went for a long walk and Nixon rode this tricycle the whole time. His little legs we so tired by the end
Lyza forced me to hold her hand while we each pushed one side of the stroller. That didn't work too well.
Lyza had to push me when I got tired
Kim had some fun with the kids playing little games with their eyes closed
Out of nowhere Lyza started getting really serious about eating healthy. Since then she has been involved in packing her lunches and tries everything we serve at mealtime. It has been so nice! The other kids have followed her lead and are also eating better. Thanks Lyza!
Comparing their tummies after a big lunch
This boy graduated from the baby stage out of nowhere
Watching the forklift at the grocery store
Playing some 2-on-1 in the backyard
Mason throwing it down
Cutest sleepers on the cutest boy
I can't believe Mason is pushing Henry around like this. It seems like just yesterday that Lyza was pushing Nixon around like this
He was being particular about his colors
Afternoon treat
Our kids fight sometimes...that is normal...right?
The last time we went to the bouncy house was January 4th (almost 5 months ago). Without exaggerating, Mason has asked us almost every day since to go back. Well, he finally got his wish. He got invited to a birthday party on Friday at the bouncy house!
We all went as a family
Mason (and the other kids) had so much fun
Henry liked this little area where he could push on with his arms and stand
This is what a sweaty happy child looks like
Henry has a pretty long tongue and loves to stick it out
There is a little kid area that Henry liked
Video of some of the fun
The chocolate cake was also a hit
Saturday morning Nixon and I bought some mulch and some other yard stuff
Kim got her flowers in the front bed planted some time in the last week and they are looking good
Nixon and I bought a couple of hanging baskets on sale. The kids hope this will invite more humming birds
We love watching these two playing well together
Mason has been with sidewalk chalk this year
Lyza accidentally touched a mushroom and ran to the house horrified because she knows they can be poisonous
The big kids were super helpful on Saturday morning getting the house all clean for the long weekend so Kim promised them a treasure hunt
Nixon and Lyza took it very seriously
We had to help Mason keep up
Since Mason can't read the clues he got said what he wanted them to say
The kids were very happy with what the last clue led to
The big boys got haircuts with this new cool cape
Henry can crawl like a big boy!
Lyza was inspired by the video we made Kim for Mother's Day and asked me if we could make a video where she interviewed me. This is what we got. Pretty good for such a boring interviewee
Take care
