Happy Mother's Day!

Lyza was up bright and early Sunday morning to shower her mother with gifts

Lyza is so sweet and thoughtful
After church we tried to get a picture of Kim and the kids together. Lyza was upset she had to hold still and not look at the horses in the distance. Mason is 3-years-old...

 Super cute pair!
There were two of these birds in our backyard and they looked super cool. Kim thinks they were just pigeons (based only on the pictures I took not from seeing them herself) but I think they must be something much more exotic and noteworthy
Caught it with its eyes closed
After church the kids had some things to give their mom
The kids helped me make this video for Kim that we watched together on Mother's Day
We decided we would have to return the frogs to the wild. The kids had to say good bye

Handsome boy
We took the kids back to the beach for some final good byes and pictures with their frogs

We took a walk together and he kids were quick to pick pretty flowers for their pretty mamma
 I got a consolation flower
There are still lots of pretty flowers on the trees
 And popcorn!
We noticed these plants in a few different places. There is no distinct place where the plant changes from green to yellow, it just happens gradually

I like when Lyza chooses to walk instead of ride her bike
We played a little baseball in the backyard that evening
I had a nice Mother's Day and I hope Kim did too. She deserves it!
What a cute little ninja
This little guy has been bothered by teething
We are happy that strawberries are back in season!
Kim decided one day that three crazy boys isn't enough so she borrowed another two. She is brave!
These two are turning into good playmates
For activity days the girls got to hide the rocks they painted the activity before. Mom's were also invited so Kim got to join it.
 Lyza hiding her rock
Meanwhile the boys were at home with me piling up pillows and blankets (they love that)
For preschool the kids painted rocks (must have been fresh in Kim's mind)
They also did a fun activity learning about colors and what happens when you mix vinegar and baking soda

 The kids loved it!
 Happy boy with his rock
Kim's lily of the valley are doing well
We had a crazy thunderstorm on Thursday night and Mason's first reaction was to go out and sweep the water
After that he decided he could make some fun pictures with sidewalk chalk in the puddle
It rained hard the whole next day. That didn't stop Nixon from getting some bike riding in
Henry jumped himself to sleep on Saturday morning
Remember when Mason would fall asleep in there all the time?
Lyza had her last soccer game of the season. It was a little cold but luckily the rain stopped for her game
 There is that signature smile
Looking the opposite direction of where the ball is going (it is going toward her net while she is on defense ;)

 Team pep talk
This play Lyza even sacrificed her body
She was only a little shaken up
 Celebratory ice cream after
Me and my cool little man
Kim was at a girls night last night (without kids) and came home after 9:30. The first thing she told me was that the moon and the clouds looked really cool and I should go down to the beach to see if I could get some good pictures (what an amazing wife!)
Here is what I came back with

Take care!
