Last Sunday some friends invited us over for dessert. Mason and this little girl were so cute together eating ice cream

With the excitement of his birthday celebration we kind of missed doing his 1 year photo shoot. So we did a late one instead.
Of course he would not sit still

Lyza has been doing cross country at school and this week she had a race
We are proud of her and how hard she has worked at her running!

We picked some concord grapes this week
Mason helped Kim get the grapes clean and ready for juicing
This was quite the process
Henry and Mason were really good and kept themselves busy
After an entire day of making grape juice we have a lot of juice!
There was no school on Friday so Lyza and Nixon got crafty
Mason said this is his daddy (I guess I do have angry eyes every now and then) 
On Friday night we made some apple cider

Yesterday while Kim and Nixon were at Nixon's soccer games I took the other kids on a walk and we enjoyed the beautiful fall colors
Henry was so happy to be outside in the fresh air

Nixon was a superstar at his soccer game
He scored at least six goals (he and Kim disagree on the total) in two games

On the way home from our walk yesterday we found a really big and gross spider
So like any good father would do, I made my young daughter disturb the spider so I could get its movement on video ;)
