Meet Donut and Lyza Turns 9!

Thanks for helping to clean off the car Mason

We got some snow early in the week and Kim and the little boys made a snow man

Mason made the little snow man all by himself

I love that Henry's present is Jesus

When Lyza got home from school on Monday she got an early birthday gift

Nixon got a Christmas piñata from school

Lyza and Nixon got to go to the pet store to pick out Lyza's hamster

Meet Donut, the newest addition to our family

Donut is a Syrian (Teddy Bear)

He loves to eat

And is still not sure about his new surroundings

He has tried to run away several times but always ends up in the same place. It's as if he is running in circles

He is very cute

He gets lots of attention

The house we bought him is a little tight

Here is a video of Donut

Mason decided it would be a good idea to put a perler bead in his ear

That perler bead cost more than $400

Here are a few more pictures of Donut

Lyza turned 9 on Wednesday!
For breakfast she requested German pancakes

After breakfast these boys got all cuddled up in our bed

After school we all went to Triple Play to go to the water park. We saw Santa while we were there

We all had lots of fun swimming!

After swimming we were starving and pizza hit the spot

We can't believe she is 9 😮

She got the 🎵Happy Birthday🎵 treatment

And delicious cake

We got to video chat with Grandma and Grandpa Bullock while Lyza opened their gift

She got some fun surprises

What a silly bunch

We have an awesome tradition (thanks Kim) where the kids get to unwrap one (or sometimes more) Christmas books each day of December until Christmas day. The kids have so much fun with those books

Do you miss Donut already? Here he is

He really like cucumbers and carrots

I made him a luxurious new home out of a cardboard box since the other one is a little small

He is really cute (as long as you don't remember that he is basically a mouse)

I have been blessed to hear Kim practicing a beautiful piano piece that she volunteered to play in church today. Our home has been filled with beautiful music that reminds me of my Savior. Kim played in church today and it was wonderful.
Here is a recording of that song

Only 5 more sleeps to Christmas and we can't wait!

Take care

  1. Congratulations on the new addition to your home, Donut is adorable.
Glad Lyza had a great birthday. How is she 9 already?!! She’s such an awesome kid.
Oh no! Mason getting a bead stuck in his ear sounds like a crazy, unwelcome adventure.
Nice work on building your snowmen!
Wish everything wasn’t closed down here. Triple Play and swimming sounds like a blast!

Merry Christmas! 🎄 We love you guys!
