The neighborhood moose have returned
We saw these three across from our house
Then they decided to cross the street
They then trimmed our moose-bush
Another one bites the dust
Mason showing off some of his artwork
I got to take the boys to the Halloween carnival at the elementary school (Kim was working that evening)
Henry is a pretty decent bowler
I wish I won some of those awesome glasses
He loved the pizza (he wouldn't let me take a picture so I had to steal one)
Right after the carnival the boys had their primary activity carving pumpkins
Mason did this all by himself
Henry did a lot of this himself
Mason has been very helpful raking pine needles
The house we are buying does not have a natural gas hook up in the laundry room so we bought an electric dryer on Facebook Marketplace. We didn't install it right away because we wanted to leave our has dryer hooked up so we could show a potential buyer that it worked before selling it. We sold it, then installed our recently purchased electric dryer. It died on the first loan and the part to fix it would have cost more than we paid for it (and more than it was worth). So we bit the bullet and bought a new set from Costco.
Kim and Henry working together to rake and bag pine needles
I got to spend a couple of hours installing the new washer and dryer
The boys made Halloween Houses (like gingerbread houses) out of chocolate graham crackers
Last week was our primary program. Nixon played some of the prelude music on the piano before the meeting started.
The boys did really well for the primary program.
That afternoon the boys decorated their houses.
All the Charter 6th grade students had an evening where they presented their Good Deeds project to the families of the 6th graders. I got to take Nixon and see the presentation he worked so hard on.
He did such a good job!
We have seen the moose a few times
There has even been a bull moose in the neighborhood! This was right across our street. We didn't see it but a neighbor took the picture and shared it with us. In the 10 years we have lived in the neighborhood we have never seen a bull. Hopefully we will before we move.
Look at that cute robber at the Ponderosa costume parade
We had a ward chili cookoff and harvest party. Everyone wore a costume (except me)(Henry didn't want to be in the picture)
Even though I didn't wear a costume I still played along
Nixon helped me hand out candy
One of the robbers checking out his loot
Another moose sighting
We had some of the kids' friends join us for a Halloween dinner
Then a quick picture before trick or treating
We had a big group
Nixon with a couple of his friends. They don't go to the same school any more so they are always happy when they can get together.
Some hot chocolate to warm up
This house goes all out with their decorations, including making the kids reach into a corpse to get their candy
The boys got pretty tired so they laid down to get some rest
After they traded some candy and watched a movie together
These were our pumpkins this year (Mason carved a few of them ;)
Take care
