Are you my mother?

Big puzzle on a Sunday

A house across from us had one of its big trees removed

It was crazy seeing someone so high up

I made a vide showing how they cut sections of the tree off. Not exactly a Hollywood blockbuster but I think it is cool seeing how they do it

Mason (and by extension, Henry) got to go to friend's birthday party this week
Henry is so cute on this car

And with the Chinese finger trap

Candy bracelet!

There he is with "his girl" Vena

For FHE this week we made a Thanksgiving tree

Each of the kids wrote things they are thankful for on leaves

Then they put them on the tree

I am not sure this is the right answer but it sure is funny

The boys have had lots of fun playing cars on their super awesome track (keep an eye out for this cardboard later)

While the weather stayed nice I got up on the roof and got the Christmas lights up

What a beautiful sunset Kim caught when she took the kids down to the beach park while I was finishing up my work day

The boys had so much fun throwing rocks

Kim and the big boys made play dough

They also had fun throwing it up in the air

Henry got to look at fish at Wal-Mart

Apparently we need to buy a fish

Lyza got an eye exam and we looked at some new frames (haven't chosen any yet)

Check out the last four characters...He is getting there

Remember that cardboard the kids used for cars? It has another use

Friday night Kim and a group of friends spent the night in Kellogg at a hotel with a really cool water park

She left me alone with these four crazies!

Since there was a window without rain in the forecast I decided to take the kids hiking to a new place
We went to the Cougar Bay Nature Preserve, which is just a few miles South of CDA and is a hike along a marsh that connects to CDA Lake

There were occasional signs toward the beginning with information on different wildlife commonly found there (but not on a rainy day in November)

Despite the sparse wildlife it was still a pretty hike

Lyza was proud she noticed the mushroom growing on this log

I really likes these lines through the marsh

We saw some ducks

Nixon of course had to climb up on everything possible

For a cold soggy day these four were great company

The views along the marsh were pretty

This abandoned tractor/dozer was cool

Here is the view of the lake from the lookout. We stopped here and went back the way we came because it was getting steep and the kids were tired and Henry wasn't feeling the best on my back

The kids were really good and we decided we would like to try this hike again in the late spring next year

The evening last night felt like it was never going to end (aka bedtime was never going to happen) so we pulled out some glow sticks and turned on the dancing music. I also pulled out the camera and tripod and showed the kids the fun images we could make with long exposures

Lyza and Nixon were proud of this one

Kim got in on the action

I always like to make a heart

Mason, Lyza, and Nixon

Lyza spelled "me"

Here are the four kids: Henry, Mason, Lyza, and Nixon

Here is Henry in the dancing room

Take care
