Family Pictures and Halloween

A few weeks ago we did family pictures at our beach park and we got the photos back from our photographer this week. I took the camera and the kids down there a few minutes early to get some individual portraits of the kids before the photographer got there.

Mason was like a little model he was so photogenic

He also had some interesting facial expressions

Doesn't he look good?

Nixon was also looking so handsome

With spurts of silliness

Mini-Kim (I mean Lyza)

Henry didn't get down there quite as early so he wasn't part of the group pictures that I took

I really like this picture

Handsome Henry made it down just as the photographer was getting there so his portraits were actually taken after all of the family photos

I am really glad Kim thought to have our pictures taken at our beach park since we spend so much time here as a family. The weather was also perfect! We were supposed to do our pictures the day before but is was SUPER windy and rainy. Luckily we could reschedule to the following day and the weather couldn't have been better.

Our little nature lover

These pictures accurately depict our family

I also really like this one

She is my favorite!

Kim and Lyza are such a cute pair

The rambunctious boys

And the littles

Here we are showing our true colors

Earlier this week we had lots of bird activity in the backyard. Lots of quail

And lots of these other birds

There was a mourning dove pecking in the cracks of the pine trees

Henry has really enjoyed the train and car track this week

We carved pumpkins for FHE

Lyza even carved her own pumpkin for the first time

They had lots of fun

The final results weren't too bad either

Mason has been busy making all sorts of masks for us

This keeps him quite busy and also produces a little bit of mess

Playing games with Mom is the best

Nixon and Lyza both chose to use their ice cream date coupon and take me out for ice cream

Nixon's ice cream was Halloween flavored/colored of course

Mason bought his birthday gift from Grandma and Grandpa Bullock. Think he likes it?

This is a funny video Kim took of the kids while on a walk with them and Lyza's friend

Thursday night the kids got in their costumes and we went to the church for a trunk or treat

Lyza loved the music

The kids got lots of candy

Then they got to watch a Halloween show

Henry thinks shrieking like this is funny

The next morning was really red at sunrise

Friday night we ate out as a family at IHOP> Each of the kids got a mummy pancake

Henry approved

Shortly after we got home from dinner we got "booed"

A global pandemic and closed border are tough on a 2 year old that wants to see his grandma

On Saturday Mason taught me how to make a mask

Henry was having a tough time getting his Halloween shirt on

For dinner last night the kids made mummy hot dogs

Complete with eyes

We also had a spooky drink

We are glad we got something in their stomachs before trick or treating

Mason was a scary dragon this year

He was also a cute dragon at times

Nixon was a skeleton and refused to smile for any pictures

Henry was the only one that wore makeup for his costume

What a cute puppy

Lyza was a beautiful butterfly

They are a cute bunch

Trick or treating was awesome because it was warm and dry

I sat on an electric chair

We got way too much candy

A relaxing movie before bed

We hope you all have a great week
